Hi there. I am new in here. I have a avairy with various finches however I have 2 orange breasted waxbill males that at first I thought might have been bullied by other birds from where I got them as they had little to no feathers on the backs of their heads and neck. Its been about 6 months and there is no feather growth. Is this the work of a parasite? If so what can I do to help these little guys.

Thanks in advance

Jase.

This is likely to be caused by overzealous allopreening by the 2 birds where they sit & preen each other as Orangebreasts often do. Separating them should see the feathers grow back as long as the skin hasn't been damaged.

WELCOME to the AFF, Farlie.

I second Tiaris' advice.
If the feather follicles have been scarred you may end up with a couple of 'baldies'.... but optimistically, they will most likely re-feather. Good luck with them.

Thanks Guys. Will try splitting them. Hopefully its not too late. Maybe if I can find a couple of females for them that might solve the issue as well.

Welcome to the forum. A couple of ladies to distract them can't be bad.
