Hello to everyone on the finch forum.
I have been a member for a while, but I haven't formally introduced myself.
My name is Maurizio; I have been a keen Aviculturist for about 40 years.
I have kept a wide variety of Australian & foreign finches, also kept species of Neophema
& Rosella parrots over the years. Nowadays I have limited space, and only keep & specialise in
Gouldian finches. I breed blues, euro yellows & normal green bodies.
I breed all my birds in communal aviaries that measure 4.0 long x 1.5 wide x 2.1 high. As all Gouldian
breeders will know, properly housing these beautiful birds is half the battle to keeping them alive.
I look forward to expanding my knowledge, and sharing information with other forum members
Regard

I currently have three at the moment.
I’m limited for space, and I have to work with what I have. I have found over time that the size of my aviaries works well with the Gouldians.
They’re not too large, were you struggle to catch birds. They allow me to run six pairs of birds, with ample room for all their off spring.
I try not to separate the young from their parents, if I can avoid it.
What type of birds do you keep?

Four avairys with a mix from African fires to a Lone Java. Mostly zeb mutations.
