The Community aviary is 5m long by 2.2 wide and high
The budgies are pretty compatible as only a single pair, if you have more pairs it soon becomes a problem with agression.
My parents are not big bird lovers unfortunately, but still like them and think they are really nice to have around

That's what I call a proper size community avairy. Budgies like all birds can vary in temprement, if yours are fine that is good. As long as the folks are supportive of your hobby, that is a good thing. Mother has just had 2 birds come back from the Aust Nationals, so she is big into budgies.
