I house the gouldians, painted finch pair , goldfinch pair and a strawberry cock finch in one big cage .
Haven’t had any problems with them all together for over 2 years
I have a green singer pair in a flight cage to them selfs
I have a yellow Siskin cock with two hens in a flight cage to them selfs

Sounds like you have worked out what is best for your finches. Which is exactly what we should all strive to do. How big is the mixed cage?

Looks like you have them well protected from cold winds. Good on you. Can only see box nests, have you tried ball nests for the painteds? Mine prefered them. Enjoy.

Thank you guys , yeah I got them in the perfect location . I actually do have two ball nests and the painting finch has Claimed both the ball nests . They keep going back and forth with both of them .
