Firstly, thanks for the opportunity to join other like minded persons in the Aussie Finch Forum.
Greetings from KenR from Wagga Wagga in NSW.
A lifelong interest in Australian birds with a particular interest in finches, I have revisited my earlier interest in keeping and breeding finches when my teenage daughter expressed a desire to get some birds to fill a long unoccupied outdoor aviary at home. Following an aviary tidy up and make over we purchased a pair of Gouldian Finches about 3 months ago and have been fortunate enough for the pair to breed with the fledglings yet to emerge from the nest.
As the season changes, we are aware that we must make some provision to insulate and heat the aviary or consider alternate options to protect the birds from the extremes of the Wagga Wagga winter. Decided to 'Google' to gain awareness of options from other finch keepers/breeders........hence we decided to join the Aussie Finch Forum.
Regards Ken & Alex

Hi Ken, Welcome to the Forum. Feel free to ask questions regarding your aviary and birds. This hobby is one of the best to have family involved and will eventually pay for itself as you breed some finches. Cheers Craig.
