Hi all

I’m a new member living in Marrickville in Sydney. My dad and I used to breed birds when I was a teenager. He kept going when I left home.

Anyway I’ve inherited his birds as he died 18 months ago. I’m in the process of working out a good aviary for them and I’m quite excited about it.

Some of the birds include ruddies, star finches, double bars, orange breasts, bourkes; I’m also thinking of buy some emblemas and cordons. The more I research the more interested I’m becoming in colour variants and mutations. Thanks

Hi Strals, welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear about the passing of your father. It's great that you're keeping that connection to him alive by tending and growing his collection of birds.

Welcome to the forum. And what the guys said. Build the biggest avairys you can fit in, and 2 of them. Then you won't regret later that they were too small and not enough.
