Welcome to the forum. How much space do you have to dedicate to avaries?

I’m still in the early stages of researching what type of finch would suit me. All the photos of their bright beautiful colours makes me want nearly all of them. I have a 3 x 2.2 aviary for my quail and would like some birds for the space above the ground in it. I am a complete beginner so I’m not in any rush, but any advice would be gladly accepted.

Good size avairy. Does it face north or east or northeast? As these directions are best.
