G’day all, thanks for taking me in, glad to be here.
Just getting back into birds after a 40 year hiatus, been too long. I’ve got a mate who’s giving me a pair of Yellow Rumped Mannikins. I must say that I’ve never seen them before. Done some research and I’m now fascinated by them. I’m thinking of colony breeding these only in a 12sg metre aviary. Having only one specie in an aviary has always appealed to me, the YR just might be the perfect little bird for me.
Anyway, thanks for having me, wish me luck.👍
Jeff.

Hi Jeff, welcome to the forum.

Yellow-rumped mannikins are certainly an attractive bird and would look great in a big flock.

Welcome to the forum. Good luck in keeping and breeding the Yellow Rumps. A nice big avairy such as you are proposing should certainly be an assett.
