Hi .ive been having a good breeding season with my RFPF so far, its getting to a point where i need to build another holding Aviary.
My question is at what age are they sexual mature? i have been hearing the males starting to chirr.
Also one of my pairs is on her 4th brood(5th really but she jumped of her first nest) she is a first year breeder. What do others do, let her go for it or remove the nest?,

Thanks Andy

They will breed soon after reaching full colour if allowed to do so - from about 6 months old onwards. They usually breed best through the warmer months. I'd let them finish whatever they've started for now if its still warm where you are (if 4th round so be it) then remove nestsites as soon as young fledge. They may moult after this round anyway, which is a fair sign they've had enough.
