How is the season going this year and is anyone still breeding gouldians?
Ive had a mixed season ran 2 aviaries of 3.25sqm each holding 3 pairs with only the dominant pair in each breeding. Also started late since new aviary was being built so have only fledged 4 nests (2 each).
Nothing bred in cages tried running two pairs in 75x45x45 cage with no luck.
Just asking if anyone is still breeding at this point? I wouldnt mind another couple nests and i can take out the two pairs which fledged 2 nests each hoping others go down. But thinking theu may miss the moult and wouldnt be ready for next season.

My last nest of Gouldians fledged in the first week of June. Don't think there's any still at it, especially since their diet for most of June was just dry seed.

I have a week old nest full now.
Couldnt get them to go down in january so left the boxes in. I think its ok and they still colour up by December from my prior experience breeding in August.
