What age finches are to be before selling them

In QFS for sale section young pairs are often advertised, what do others breeders think about what age pairs should be before being sold? For some breeders I suspect if they are overloaded in numbers this may be when birds have coloured up

For me, once fully coloured and sexable. In that order of priority.

To me young pairs means at least sexable & possibly fully coloured but never been put out to breed yet. 1st season birds.

Agree… for non-DNAed , monomorphic birds it is always a lottery... for dimorphic birds, at least coloured enough to guarantee the sexes, and preferably rung to assure that they are not siblings if buying in pairs.
