I am guessing this is part of the mating ritual. Is there any way to stop the cock bird pecking the hens neck down to the skin?
So far, this has happened to a RFPF and a Ruddie.

How many pairs and what other species are there in the aviary, and how big is the aviary?
Thanks

How many birds are there? I'm not an expert, but you might need a few spare hens in it.

You may not have enough areas for the hen birds to seek refuge from the cock birds chasing them around all day
Thanks

Some cocks are worse than others, and some that are feeling the need of suplements are worse. Try adding more greens and grit.
