Nest on top of eggs

Not sure what happened, gouldian pair in aviary laid 1 egg per day for 3 days so total 3 eggs, today I saw they put grass straws on top not sure its normal or they just abandon it?

It's not normal.
They might have abandoned the nest but you can check that to see if they are still using the nest. If they aren't then maybe another pair of birds is using it.

You can probably take the 3 eggs from under the nest and pit them on top and hope someone incubates them.

Mine do this all the time. They seem to know when eggs are no good and just build a new nest on top.

When I clean their nest boxes out at the end of the season, sometimes there's nests with 2 or 3 layers of eggs and grass underneath the successful clutch.
