Double bars and Red Faced Parrot Finches?

I am getting a couple of pairs of Double bars this weekend and was planning on having them in the same aviary as a few pairs of Red faced. Any problems with this mix?
Cheers, Deegs.

Have not kept them together. However have found with my Double Bars, that they like a "wire roll" nest, and a couple of high (20/40cm below the roof) perches to keep clear of the more active birds. Also found 4 the minimum number required for these, 6 or more is better. (Currently have 6) Enjoy.

Oops sorry - not making myself clear. Birds - the Double Bars themselves. Tried with 3, no go, 4 OK. 6 happy.
I only have one of the "wire roll" nests, and other nests for other finches. My "wire roll" is about 35cm diametre by 60cm long. I have it horizontal, suspended from the roof, and put a framework of gum branch and ivy, then added lots of grasses. The birds make tunnells that frustrate me because I am too short to see what they are up to.

They do help. But since damaging my back have been advised to use proper steps or nothing as the stress of larger stepping like this strains the damaged lower back.
Deegs how did you go?
