I have just saved a cordon blue hen in the hospital cage with egg bounding. In the past in winter time I have used cod liver oil in the seed but than I do not stimulate breeding so my birds wouldn't become egg bound then any way. I have thought of using breeding aid, what do others think ? thanks James

Hi James, Was this hen held in that smaller holding cage inside your aviary, if so she might not have absorbed enough Vit D through direct sunlight. Vetafarm's products 'Breeding Aid' will help prepare her for the up coming breeding season and 'Soluvet D3 Breeder' will help in the uptake of calcium.

Thanks Allan

Yes this hen was on the back patio where direct sun light would have been diminished for a couple of months but has been out in the aviary for a month. I'am going to buy breeding aid tomorrow, thanks Allan hoping you and Vicki are well I will give you are call over the weekend. thanks James
