Hi all, I have a female gouldian with facial problems, getting steadily worse over the last couple of months, others in aviary have no problems. She doesn't seem to have any breathing problems, no coughing, just the occasional wipe or scratch with her leg. Any suggestions? Thanks

Is she feeding young? It is amazing how awful mum gouldians can get to look when feeding. What with rubbing feathers off and getting food all over their faces.

Nope, not feeding young, rejecting advances from a male, still feeding ok but not overly happy looking - sits around more than the others

Just to me sure,

Catch her and put her next to your ear.

If you hear a crackle she may have air sac mite.

Do you have any canaries?
Breeding Project 2020-2025.
