Please give advice as I remember reading this somewhere but can't find it again, I am sure it was described as powder form garden lime. Apparently by sprinkling some in with your sand or soil it can keep worms at bay as the finches peck through it
Which lime to use as worming substitute ?

Lime is used to freshen the soil in an aviary,it wont kill intestanal worms but will help to kill the eggs expelled in the birds droppings but only in direct contact with the lime, insects ingest the worm eggs and inturn when the bird eats the insect the eggs hatch in the bird Craig
