I remember at some point reading that certain dishes made from certain material shouldn't be used for medicating. Can anyone enlighten me? Stainless steel, glazed dishes?? Thanks!!

I cant remember what drug it was but one I had once had on it dont use in stainless dishes. I would imagine most drugs would have warnings on them if they reacted with anything. But they are either kept in glass or plastic containers for storage.arthur wrote:Stick to glass and you won't go far wrong

Yeah I just did a 2 day run of s76 and quik gel..I did it in my glazed water dishes now I'm worried it wasn't the right thing to use but I also don't want to do it again and potentially overdose the birds. It's my moulting flock of Goulds.

I believe S76 is now moxidectin ? Best to read the bottle for instrucions.with moxidectin I give a second treatment two weeks after the first for incoming birds or general treatment weather permitting. The dishes you used would have been sealed fine with the glazing. I would not be treating again with in two weeks Just do what the instructions say on the bottle. The first dose worked fine.

looks like I just lost my DVM scatt has the moxidectin in it. I thought the Au s76 did.
Taken from a U.S site if this is the same s76 as you have.

I bought mine from Dr Rob Marshall. I found him very helpful and sent me handwritten instructions as well as on the bottles I purchased. I might give him feedback next time I order if there are any notes around dosage receptacles. Thanks for your input gomer
