Please help with a definitive treatment for aviary canariers and gouldians, I have had the following advice.
1. One treatment in water
2. Treatment in water for 3 consecutive days.
3. Treatment in water for 7 consecutive days
4. Treatment in water every 2 weeks x 3 times.
5. Treatment in water every 3 months.
Too many birds to catch and treat injdividually

Number 2 is the correct treatment but made fresh daily. Will cover certain worms and airsac mite and other external parasites.
You also need to clean perches etc in the roosting area with an insect deterant such as coopex. Craig

Probably once or twice a year,but if necessary, canaries are prone to airsac mite and external mites. Your birds will show signs by laboured breathing and or coughing/sneezing with a clicking sound. Craig

Yeah number 2...but if treating for asm...you need to retreat weekly for 2 weeks...as asm has a 2 week cycle.... ..and clean perches etc as Craig52 said
