GG,
Most health food shops stock kelp powder, usually in plastic jars, but this is an expensive way to buy it. If you Google 'powdered kelp Australia' you'll get a string of hits, but with added postage it can still be expensive. I buy seaweed (kelp) in a fine granulated form for inclusion in my home-made mineral blocks, it is available from produce stores (as a feed supplement for horses, etc.) and is as cheap as chips. It is supposedly a good source of iodine and minerals.

That's good GG. I worried after I answered your post that you may have wanted it for personal use and the product I recommended is animal specific  .
If anyone else in a remote area needs some for mineral block making, this is a product that is often used.... postage is the same for 1kg or 5kg.
