I'm afraid of using panacur 2.5 but only by a product that used it in one of their products as a bird wormer, the dose rate directions was 30 ml/litre that killed all my parrot finches but that was a long time ago. We soon learnt it was 10 ml or less so that amount should be safe.
Moxidectin plus is what most breeders now use which 6 ml/ ltr, the plus is for tapeworm

I get Ivomecden from my local vet. You will probably find that your local vet can help out too, if they know anything about birds. If not try the Murdoch Uni vet school.

rate for panacure 2.5 is 6ml per lt its not a bad idea to rotate your insecticides every now and then so they don't build up a resistance to one product.

Hi Finchbreeder do you put ivomecden in the water (at what rate) or to the beak ?

I put it in the water, and the vet mixes it to formula with directions. So it will depend on what your vet supplies. Stuffed if I am catching over 50 finches to beak administer. Though mum catches over 200 budgies and neck drops, but she has more avairies to move them round while doing it.
