Last night my partner found one of my goulds sitting on the floor of our aviary. She got her out and into the hospital cage, spent the night there to find in the morning she had passed an egg, and is looking alot better. Is there anything else you need to do from here ? As in leaving her in the hospital cage for how long and administering any medication ?

I have had siskins and singers egg bound.
If she has passed all should be ok now.
I would rest her in the hosp cage for another day or two, if she looks good put her back just dont put her back into a cold aviary at this time year, straight out of a heated hosp cage.

Probably way of track here but I believe plenty of greens after an episode of egg binding keeps things moving ....not a lot of room down there .
I kinda think this bcoz I have a Quarrion that pigged out on corn and got herself constipated this led to egg binding , after she passed the egg ( not a pretty sight) she still retained eggs way too long .
I found the extra greens got things moving quicker and made more room for the eggs to pass.

Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.
