Hi All,
I have just made enquiries about getting some green seed shipped down to Victoria from the Lowe's. Ray informs me that it will be harvested in about 3 weeks time and needs to be shipped out within 2 weeks of harvesting.
To get it shipped down to Victoria we need a minimum of a pallet....which contains about 350+ containers. Ray will email through costs shortly (and I will update this post as soon as it is provided to me), however if we get 30+ members who are willing to participate in this purchase i am happy to co-ordinate everything. I'm not interested in making any $ on this idea....i just want to get some of the green seed for my birds, but I obviously don't need, nor can afford, a full pallet on my own.
I'm tired of us Victorian's not having this great food source that our NSW and Queensland collegues have always been able to obtain....so PM me or respond to this post if your are interested...cheers, Paul

Some further details of the benefits of green seed are contained in the link from Marcus Pollard's Clifton Finch Avairies web site.

I would be interested in some too, but Im in Adelaide, which would mean an extra journey for the seed and more messing around for you sending it on to me.
But I guess finding out the costs would be the next step.

BB, you may have to make a trip to Melbourne to check some birds/ aviaries out and pick your Green Seed up from someone? Surely we could sort something out.
But i would be interested and possibly dad as well. I think they were going to be $17 or $19 was the price not updated on the website?

if Gomer gets involved we would only need a few more people to be interested....from memory Gomer once posted a comment that he goes through 20 kg's of seed per week..maybe I'm wrong....should I count Gomer in for 100 pkts (2 kg's each) cheers, Paul
