I tried the bucket but didn't get much luck I think it's too cold maybe ?
I've been giving them Meal worms but don't think they are eating them. The last lot of eggs they had 1 chick last about 3 weeks was longest any have lasted so far, he had started to get feathers.
I'll try maggots if I can find some, i'm thinking about splitting the pair up and maybe getting another female or male see if that makes any difference.
What live food for GB Waxbills?

that could work by swapping them around. it is a bit cold for the bucket , but keep at it once spring comes around it will be in full swing. every little bit helps also helps if you know if your adult birds were reared on live food.sometimes they can do it without it. persistance.....pete
