I know its not illegal but there aren't many braodacre farmers happy to sell small quantities of anything at or near the per tonne price.

Cannabis seed contains omega 3, 6 and 9, as well as a being very high in protein. When I was a young lad, whilst visiting an older finch breeder in Melbourne he specifically told me he used to grow it in his finch aviary for his birds. Do finches have an endocannabinoid system if so, there must be benefits.

Was that Ray Murray, I can remember him saying he fed it to his birds before the war.

Sorry I cannot remember his name I was only 16 ( almost 40 years ago) at the time, he lived in Glen Waverley and was on the board of the ASA. A really nice, genuine person with loads of info to share.

some useful info: Seed of the plant grown for human consumption, hemp seed, contains all the essential amino acids and essential fatty acids (EFA’s) necessary to maintain healthy human life. With over 30% oil and about 25% protein, substantial amounts of minerals, dietary fibre and vitamins, no other single plant source has the essential amino acids in such an easily digestible form.
