On Friday I found another injured baby, this one has a damaged right wing. So, I have one fledgling with an unserviceable right leg and another with an unserviceable left wing. I guess still have a complete bird between the two of them. I have identified the Kookaburra as the culprit, it comes around whenever it thinks I am not looking. I now keep the screens down when I'm not there as an interim safeguard but I'll put a layer of mesh inside the frames to keep future babies away from the outer mesh and I have a pump-up water pistol on the way. Under other circumstances I would welcome visits from a Kookaburra but this one is definitely unwelcome!
Cheers

I had to chase the bloody Kookaburra away twice this morning, persistent little bugger! Double wiring is under way, one side done.
