Hi Guys, does anyone know what sort of grasses these are?
And if I should leave them in my aviary? I am still working on it but it will be 4.8 M X 2.4 M
I understand you don't want to much covering the floor area because finches don't like the wet and I have already planted some tee trees and bottle brush.
Cheers

Looks like guinea grass to me or green panic which is in the same genesis. Ok to leave but might need a cut back after seeding but your finches should keep it in check. Craig

Hi Guys,
Is this Johnson grass? My plumheaded parrots like it, is it something finches would like? :?:
Cheers

I am not so sure if it's that great especially if it is the only green feed being fed.
No proof but my opinion only that it can tend to have an affect on parrot finches.
One area I am sure of is there is a danger if the plant is growing in your aviary for birds to get caught
up by the leg ring. You will notice the fine stem the seed head is attached to. If there is a slight gap on a plastic
leg ring the fine stem can pass through it and the bird is caught up and it simple just hangs there
