How do finches do on grass seeds?
Was on the produce shop and saw them near the bird seed. Lady said they were just for the lawn but they look like seeds ive seen in some mixes.

Some grass seeds are coated with fungicides and other stuff to help preserve them till they are used , especially if they have come from the US . I wouldn't risk it , unless you know exactly where they came from . Pete

Make sure you buy untreated seed as Pete suggested. Most lawn seed boxes if not all would be treated. You can buy single types of seed from your local seed merchant untreated or large bird specialists.Such as elenbees or Aust Wildlife supplies. Greens and grains has a large amount of barnyard grass. Rye grass seed is popular too.
