Thought I'd share a pic of my 'farm'. Actually it's an area of wasteland along the side of a concrete drain at the back of a service station near where I live :)
I whipper snipped a couple of 20m2 areas 2 months ago and raked in some white french millet and some pannicum, and waited for rain. Now I have a good crop with the bonus of the natural green pannic growing along side.
Every couple of days I go harvest a bucket load.
My finches love it!

Plenty of rain here in Bundaberg in Queensland, plenty of green panic and millets growing wild in ditches and roadsides. Collecting lots to feed fresh and packing the freezer. Hope you get a good crop :)
