I think the seed heads are too large for Carpet Grass.

Maybe try Liverseed Grass?

I can't seem to source wild grasses well where I am, do you know if you can buy them to grow yourself in a pot?

There's often good perennial seeding grasses available at bird sales or through clubs. Other breeders in your area—if you can get to know them—might also have plants they can split off for you.

If all else fails, try planting some birdseed. I've found the small parrot mixes to be the best for growing seeding grasses.

Craig is right I think. There is immature paspalum in the top mix as well.
the 2nd is Panicum effusum also called Witch grass, Hairy panic https://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/agriculture/ ... airy-panic

Paspalum can get a black mould known as Ergot which is poisonous to birds, but I have accidently fed it to birds and they turn their noses up at it.
Saw them land near it, take a look and fly off.

You'll find them Holabee, look for big shade trees along watercouses where no grazing exists.
