IMO better in the freezer (with lid) - couple of months if need be. Much longer than fridge - a week at best.

Agree but mix something with it before freezing like Paswells finch soft food so it wont freeze into a solid block, the soft food and you don't need much, dries up any moisture. Craig

i wouldn't keep it more than 3 days in the fridge as it can still get mould on it even with vircon s or multi cleans, apple cider vinegar, its not worth the risk. i freeze my sprouted seed after using apple cider vinegar then its placed in plastic chinese containers with one thawed out every day then fed out to all my birds every morning,

I soak the seed in a plastic bucket for 3 to 4 hours.
It is then transferred to another bucket with holes drilled in it.
The seed is left in a warm place in the bucket for 24 hours while it drains
and chits(tiny white bud) it is then put in a lidded container and frozen.
If it has been drained properly it will not freeze into a hard icy block but can
be crumbled easily.

I agree E Orix. After soaking I wash & strain mine in a sieve, then stir it at least twice a day for a couple of days until sprouted, then freeze & I don't get hard blocks.

Why bother freezing or refrigerating it to begin with. Just make it up fresh each day.
