Out of curiosity, has everyone got Avigrain blue again or is it still scarce? My store was packed full of the stuff when I went, literally the shelves were overflowing with it, selling at $64 a bag.

Aussie seed or imported they might be trying to get rid of all the imported seed, due to Aussie seed being harvested red panic, white french jap millet ect ,Thats fine if you don't want to sprout your seed, still to expensive at that price just my opinion

Try living in country WA # $69/20kgs # Yes it is WA grown seed - I live 450kms north of the City and the seed is grown south of the City. And the red millet they are putting in is bigger than the "good" red panicum we used to be getting in it. Time to do a nice long drive to the city and fill the back of the ute.

It was supposedly gone for a while and then back on but imported grain was used. I only went without if for a short while as my mate travels to the central coast weekly to tend to his birds at his mums place and picks up a bag of Avigrain blue from the Avigrain Headquarters in Berkeley Vale every month. I still find it doesn't sprout as quick or as much as before the drought but he was told that there has been a fair bit of planting done and hopefully supply will return to normal. Whether the price will reduce remains to be seen.

I have just completed a 1500 km round trip to pick up seed, I could have have travelled a 60km round trip to get any amount of
seed at under $50 a bag. Why the long haul, to get quality seed from the growers. It's a pain mixing it yourself but you get
the ratio you desire.
My bins are now full,
Small yellow Panicum(not Panorama) from above Brisbane and freighted to north of Sydney, the same delivery point for Red Millet(not Dakota)
White Millet and Canary from Victoria. All fresh and it will still be in good condition at the end of the year.
Don't buy on price, buy quality grain.
Check if the seed you are buying is this seasons or the remnants of inferior imported grain.
