Soaked seed at the point of or just sprouting is the most benefit Once the it gets too much past this point it is no more than "Green Feed".

Perhaps I should clarify my comment to avoid confusion.
I agree with Alf, seed that is just at the point of sprouting is the most nutritious.
This is what I meant when I said sprouted seed.

I use soaked seed that is just starting to crack open a cup full is eaten in about an hr

Soaked seed and just chitted are pretty much the same as soaked seed and will begin to sprout in a few hours anyway.
The general idea of either soaked or sprouted seed is to supply young with a soft easily digested food that wont sit in the crop and sour that can happen with just hard seed hulled by the parent bird.
Just before chitting and just chitted seed does contain the most nutrients but either way soft soaked seed does have the same advantages.
