Just looking for recommendations for sourcing bird seed in Melb. Was looking for 20KG bags and somebody in the forums recommended Avi Grain Finch Blue, but where to source it in Melb?

Try Willy in whitllsea he has great Aussie seed 0439716142 as avi grain are blending there seed with imported which is fine if you don't sprout your seed

Dandenong stockfeeds have Avi Blue in 20 kilo bags.

For what it's worth, my understanding is that the premium "Blue" avigrain blends are currently 100% Australian grown.

Assuming you get a new (or really old, I guess) batch.

Attend a Victorian Bird Sale and buy genuine Australian breeder quality grains rather than a price blended bag of seed mix

Thanks guys. More than happy to take other recommendations and other suppliers. Out east of Melb suits best. What's happening with the bird sales this year?

Maybe try Dandenong Stock Feeds

Bring along a sample of your current bird seed mix to a victorian bird sale and i will sieve it
lets sort the grain from the chaff (fillers)
