Sure is I attached it to the seed box, really works well. I have other feed stations in the aviary as well but they all use this one the most

I've made a repeating elevator type that works well but it's a catch & release untill you get the right bird, good for catching all birds but yours & Shane's setup would work better - sit & wait - bingo!

"Do they get wary or suspect of it after it has been used a couple of times"

This reminded me of my grandfathers aviary in the 70's. He had a long funnel shaped net that he suspended over the food bowl. When he wanted to catch up some birds he would place something tasty on the food tray and wait till his target was in place then drop the net.
The aviary was mixed with lots of zebbies, stars, longtails, masks and a single old male Gouldian.
That Gouldian male would get caught every single time. He had no fear of the net and knew he would be released shortly and back to the food again.

So yes, they learn pretty quick. Not always in the way you might think !!!

Cheers
Brett

Hi Storz, does your system work like a Guillotine if the birds are a bit slow?
Cheers.

No I put a block on each side preventing the guillotine effect. Haven't chopped a head off yet, or crushed one either

No not really Brett - once the first one's in it acts as a decoy & others follow, but you have to keep it going till the bird you want is trapped, the "guillotine" is a better idea as you can target the one you want.
