there are many benefits to spending the extra dollars for freight to get that wanted pair.one of them being that any young from your new pair will become highly sought after as they are seen as fresh blood. I have people in my local bird society asking all the time how many young gouldians I might have available later in the year and thats due to the fresh blood bit.

i had a mate that bought some birds over ex east and only cost 50 bucks. i keep all my spares in a aviary 1.8 m wide 2m high 3 m long full of zebs that seem to keep finding nesting material.not for much longer getting rid of them to split the cage up to hold some bloods but i am building a smaller one to hold the hold the extras...pete

i paid $15 for the box and $75 for AAE down the east coast.

still, considering the cheap price of the birds, and that i trusted the breeder to give me good birds more than any seller at a bird sale of the dodgy guy at my local dealer - it wasn't a bad deal at all. i'll buy birds interstate again for sure!
