Besides colour or appearance (phenotype, genotype would be useful, too, I think.

This is looking good. And could be suitable for the budgie breeders too. Which will open up another big market for you. Which brings me to the ability to say if the bird is split for anything, and if you can allow for this. Good for Gouldians too.

With exams, other projects and the bitter cold in my office; I haven't had much time for this project, but here's another status update to show that work has been slowly progressing. I've now added the ability to select existing birds and edit their information. The more complex fields, like genealogy; are yet to be added.
the ability to say if the bird is split for anything
Currently this kind of information will need to go in the "Desc" section, but there's no reason I couldn't expand the genealogy information in the future.

Yay preview images!

Does the description part allow for abreviations? e.g. RH WB GB or would it reject this as not words? As some birdos use abreviations and it allows for more info.

This looks like a great idea!
It would make aviculture that little easier.

Hi Shane
Any updates on your software development.
I am new here and to Bird keeping but have a long history of software testing and implementation in commercial sites so would be interested in helping with testing and also using the software as i start my aviary.
Regards
Brian

Hi beiffe, it's actually very close to completion. I'm still overseas on a holiday at the moment, so haven't had a chance to get it finished and released.

I plan on releasing it here first, so you will definitely have an opportunity to test it soon-ish.
