Well it seems I may have wagged biology one to many times coz I cant get the gist of this whole mealworm lifecycle thingy.
And of course in a mad cleaning frenzy I gave the mealies a new container of bran/ oats and (yikes) I threw the beetles away thinking they were just gonna eat up the worms....now I got that sinking feeling that it wasnt such a good idea.
Any one able to break it down in very layman terms , sorta do a MEALWORM FOR DUMMIES kinda thing....cheers
Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.

starting from the mealworm.they turn into a pupae, the pupae turns into a beatle, the beatle lays eggs, and last of all the eggs hatch into mealworms.tiny little ones you can bearly see that shed thier skin like little snakes as they grow into a large mealworm.

heres a article thats worth a read.http://www.finchsociety.org/cfa/livefood/mealies.htm
