I think this yellow star is trying to get attention from the female red star with the feather haha. She is bonded with the other red star male so that's fine hey she won't be interested? And can a yellow star breed with a red anyway?

Avia,

It is like saying will a white person marry a black or coloured person.... no racial pun intended. They are the same species, of course they will. Yellow headed, red headed, yellow bodied... they are the same species. It is like saying will a black headed Gould mate with a yellow headed/red headed or orange headed. Same as me or you, do you prefer blondes, brunettes, or rangas (sorry mean red heads).

If the male makes a better play, she may stray!

Ken.

yellow stars are just a aviary-bred colour mutation of normal stars finch. Thus will interbreed as any normal species.

Because if he does do a "Roger the lodger" you will not be able to tell. Due to Yellow being recessive to red. The babies would however be splits.
