I use a flat bottom dish which only allows a water depth of 10mm. The finches use it every day, but is it deep enough or would it be better for them if I purchased a deeper one?

Thanks,
Dave

I make my own from concrete from a bag, shaped with a small shovel, so I can make them natural edged and any size I like, generally tapering from ground level to about 30mm deep, that way if any young fall in they can generally get out the shallow end. One of my indoor holding aviaries only have a tray though, with about 10-15mm of water, and they still bath in it happily.
