The doors slide up from the bottom.

The one in the photo has cheese cloth for socks(not so good).they will be removed. as the other has socks made from the material from jumper necks or bottoms.That elastic stuff which proved to be very successful.
They are reasonalbly light and could be ligther without the extra bottom and back pocket.

Spare water,seed,money tin,Licence book,cotton wool front slides when on display etc.The pocket could be a little smaller.

Each compartment is 260mm X 160mm X 160mm
Each will hold atleast six birds.

Bloody brilliant display boxes . I attended my first bird sale recently in Gunnedah and there were quite a few sellers displaying birds in tiny dark boxes which were impossible to get a good look at the birds.

Yeah Mick ,Once made you never have to repaint.Easy to clean after each use.You can get 16mm sheets for about $26.The stuff i used was 9mm @ $100 a sheet.The thick sheets are ok but are heavy to cart around.
