Im from nsw and when you say Melton only one breeder comes to mind. I think thats what the guys are refering to.

I recall buying a strawberry pair off you a few years. You may recall i was taking it back up north 8 hrs by rd.

I remember you helped me set up my carry box with the seeds you were feeding them plus greens to make sure they were right so i know you know what to do.

If the bird was not flying well you should have noted that to the breeder.
If the bird was thin, well, checking the keelbone and vent area is something all novices should learn.
Using an open cage is stupid imo and is cruel to the bird. It also gives the seller an out when you make a claim: you did not treat the bird with due care.

NO, the breeder does not owe you a bird but I do hope this is an elightening, if sad, event.

The new finch might be really stressed about the move. Also, when did you release it into the aviary? You should release new birds in the morning so they can 'socialise' and find somewhere to roost. Are there any particular birds you are concerned of bullying?

The poster has already stated that he released the bird in the late afternoon.

The bird was not released in the aviary.It was being held in the Holding cabinet over night to be only released the next morning into the aviary, but unfortunately I found it dead in the morning.I have transported birds in,from Orange,Singleton and other bird sales and never had this happened!!!

Hi George,just had a couple come and buy some blue goulds and they started talking about tri coloured parrot finches and said that they had purchased some from mr ah... and that they had done every thing they could to make sure the bird was settled in properly,next morning dead on the floor so no more dealers for them ,oh and no refund ,cheers garyh
