Use the idea I said above
Trouble is, they never fly in while I am outside.

Might need to go commando and hide in the bushes or something. Like in one of the Big Ghillie suits

Or you could try a cheap IR door chime that shops use. Every time they land it goes off? Might be more of a pain than its worth though. Ultrasonic ones are a scam.
Apparently garlic oil is a bird repellent. They don't like the smell. Not sure how that would work though.
If I had the money to throw away maybe THIS

Actually, my Grandfather has big problems with Bush Turkeys ripping apart his garden, and to keep them away (sometimes, but instead keeps away all the other birds) he uses a mix of black pepper and citronella oil, and he just puts it through all the gardens and where he needs itTalven wrote: ↑16 Aug 2019, 09:16 Or you could try a cheap IR door chime that shops use. I do too! Every single plant that gets put in is dug up by them. Parts of our 'lawn' is also practically dead because of them. Possums are a big problem too - they eat practically any native or foreign plant except desert plants. Even 'possum-proof' lavender gets eaten by themnoah.till wrote: ↑16 Aug 2019, 09:30Actually, my Grandfather has big problems with Bush Turkeys ripping apart his gardenTalven wrote: ↑16 Aug 2019, 09:16 Or you could try a cheap IR door chime that shops use. The bush turkeys (a whole family on them) at my grandparents have pulled the last straw, so my dad, grandpa and myself are going to invest in an air gun to neutralize the problem humanely

Those possums crap all over our deck. We've had about 3 or 4 runs with veggie gardens but in the end the possums always win, whether it be gnawing a whole in the netting or going under the flap in the Aldi brand 'pest proof greenhouse'.

Aldi Brands are from Germany, they certainly don't have our big mongrel possums over thereBrisbane_Finches_333 wrote: ↑16 Aug 2019, 11:27 Those possums crap all over our deck. I honestly don't think any country has possums as big as us. America's "opossums" are tiny!
