Missed this back in June 2019. You can now keep in South Australia, without permit, the following birds that previously required a permit:

Finches have been bolded. Ducks, pigeons, and fowl have been excluded.

Black-breasted Button Quail
Black-throated Finch (Diggles)
Black-throated Finch (Parsons)

Blue-cheeked Rosella
Blue-winged Parrot
Brown Quail
Crimson Finch (common) [not white-bellied]
Eastern Rosella
Hooded Parrot
Little Button Quail
Masked Finch
Northern Rosella
Painted Button-quail
Pale-headed Rosella
Pictorella Mannikin
Plum-headed Finch

Western Rosella
White eared Masked Finch
Yellow-rumped Mannikin
