Nathaniel no worries mate. I was the first to develop and work with the fawn painted after they popped up in my stock of painteds over 20 years ago.
Although they are autosomal recessive they are not true fawns as they still hold the black fronts. In a true fawn all black areas change to brown in varying shades.
In my opinion they are a dilute backed mutation similar to the Australian dilute backed gouldian mutation.
