Good job Sam.

The red Siskin clip walking through the aviaries was really good, more of that please

Sam, please take this as constructive criticism, as I have nothing but utmost respect for you and FSA's efforts in providing this extremely valuable contribution and resource . . but I have trouble with the audio . .

Could well be my old ears or my computer

I agree. I now sit my iPhone on the front desk and use that for sound as the recorded audio in our new much larger hall is terrible. We have a few blokes looking into better solutions so hopefully it'll get better soon.

Hi everyone.
Link to my May 2016 presentation on Private Aviculture and Endangered Species has been appended to the first post in the thread. I hope it will promote further discussion followed by some practical action.
Paul K used a separate and far superior method of recording the audio which we hope has solved that problem .
Regards,
Sam

Hi everyone.
Link to video by Joe Cavill (and his daughter Renee) that was first shown at our July 2016 meeting has been added to the first post.
Joe has been breeding finches for over 50 years and now specialises in some of the rarer species. He has a pretty straightforward approach that works. All his aviaries are heavily planted and the flights are open to the elements.
He's a good friend with a wealth of knowledge. Entertaining footage and commentary, so well worth a watch.
Regards,
Sam

Thanks for uploading the video, Sam. It was great to watch Joe's presentation again. Joe's Blue Caps are just stunning. It's a great achievement to be able to breed good numbers of these on a regular basis.
