7 August 1934 to 11 JUne 2017.

Prominent member and office-bearer of the Avicultural Society of Australia (former treasurer, vice president and other duties over decades.

That is sad news. Ken was a serious contributor to Australian Avicultural Society for many years.
Ken and Graeme Hyde were/are the last of the old regime that I am aware of.
He was a no fuss person and simply did what was needed, when I became involved in the Society
way back in the late 70's he was one who realised that the Society needed to become more
modern and was great support when I really needed it.

I never knew Ken but can recall his name regularly appearing in Australian Aviculture journal over many years, so he was obviously a great contributor to the society.
Very sorry to those who knew & loved him for their loss.

I’m too new into aviculture to have ever known Ken, But I’ve heard that he was one of the greats.
