What are some of the other breeders hints to help promote and stimulate breeding-nesting for various types of finches. Now that things are happening, some of these would be of great benefit to many.Mine is cobweb for my Siskins, they absolutely love it.

I gather it and then drape longish amounts over a branch that i have sticking up out of the ground. The Siskins use it for nesting and really love it.They will pounce on it as soon as i put it on the perch. It helps to make a great nest.

small pieces of fresh charcoal for Masks
white feathers will trigger most finches
emu feathers for crimsons
fresh brush and nesting materials

storm fronts just as spring approaches for those of you lucky enough to get rain - weavers especially - no rain = no nests
