I have found that last seasons breeding has produced an excess of females.
I posted earlier that every specie of cup shape nesters produced an excess of hens
My DNA results since then with regard the Weavers etc has also shown a large percentage of hens
in one case 7 cockbirds to 16 hens another 2 c to 7 hens.
This helped greatly.
I just wonder what conditions helped with the welcome in balance.

Blimey all hens hey, I'd say that many would much sooner have a lot more hens than cocks as 1 cock could possibly serve 3-4 hens with some species,

Should be easier finding a few cock birds :thumbup:
