Yes Moxitectin can be applied topically on the back of the birds neck. You’ll just have to make sure that you rub it in, as it may just land on the birds feathers and not come in contact with the birds skin.
Moxidectin plus, is made up of two active ingredients, Moxidectin and praziquantel.
The moxidectin is effective for intestinal worms, except for tape worms, and external parasites that feed on body fluids. The praziquantel is effective for tape worms.
When this preparation is administered in the drinking water, it offers effective control over both internal and external parasites.
One thing to bear in mine however, is that if this preparation is administered via. a drop to the back of the neck, then Praziquantel does NOT get absorbed.
